Operator Terms
Last updated: May 2026
These terms apply to independent operators who accept jobs through the RouteClub platform.
1. Relationship
You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between you and RouteClub. You are free to accept or decline any booking and you set your own working pattern within the route windows you opt into.
2. Scope of work
Through the platform you may only accept exterior maintenance work — driveways, patios, paths, decking, fencing, garden tidy-ups, exterior windows and similar. You must not perform any internal residential works arranged via RouteClub unless we have authorised it in writing for a specific booking.
3. Insurance
You must hold and maintain valid public liability insurance of at least £1,000,000 covering all services you perform through the platform. You must provide proof on request and notify us immediately if your cover lapses.
4. Your responsibilities
- Quality and workmanship of every job you accept.
- Providing your own equipment, PPE, chemicals and consumables.
- Compliance with health & safety, waste, water and environmental rules.
- Treating customers and their property with respect.
- Taking before/after photos for each job uploaded to the platform.
- Your own tax, National Insurance and any VAT obligations.
5. Standards
- Arrive within the agreed route window or notify the customer of any delay.
- Walk the site with the customer where possible and flag pre-existing damage before you start.
- Use suitable pressure-washing settings for the surface type.
- Leave the area tidy and dispose of waste responsibly.
6. Payments
RouteClub collects payment from the customer and pays out your share on the agreed schedule, less the platform fee. Full breakdown is shown in your operator dashboard.
7. Damage and complaints
If a customer reports damage or a quality issue, you must cooperate with the dispute process. Where the issue is attributable to your work, you (or your insurer) are responsible for putting it right. RouteClub may withhold payouts in line with the dispute outcome.
8. Conduct
Discrimination, harassment, dishonest conduct, working under the influence, or attempting to take customers off-platform are grounds for immediate removal.
9. Termination
Either party may end this agreement at any time. RouteClub may suspend or remove your access if you breach these terms, fall below quality thresholds, or let your insurance lapse.
10. Confidentiality
Customer addresses, contact details and access notes are confidential and may only be used to complete the job.
11. Limitation of liability
RouteClub provides the platform "as is". We are not liable for lost jobs, missed routes or earnings, except where required by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
