Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
These terms set out the agreement between you and RouteClub when you use our platform to book exterior maintenance services from independent operators.
1. About RouteClub
RouteClub is a technology marketplace platform operating in the United Kingdom. We connect customers with independent third-party operators who provide exterior maintenance services such as driveway cleaning, patio washing and garden tidy-ups. RouteClub does not directly carry out any cleaning or maintenance work.
When you book through RouteClub, your contract for the actual service is formed directly with the operator assigned to your job. RouteClub's role is to facilitate the booking, coordinate routes between neighbours, handle payment and provide customer support.
2. Exterior-only services
All services arranged through RouteClub are limited to exterior areas of your property — driveways, patios, paths, gardens, decking, fencing and similar outdoor surfaces. Operators are not permitted to carry out interior residential works through the platform unless we have explicitly authorised this in writing for a specific booking.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a contract.
- You must be the property owner or have permission from the owner to arrange the works.
- You must provide accurate address, contact and access information.
4. Bookings and routes
RouteClub groups bookings into local "RouteClub Days" so an operator can visit several neighbours in one route. We will confirm your booking by email and give you a time window. Exact arrival times may shift depending on traffic, weather and the size of jobs earlier in the route.
5. Operators are independent contractors
Operators are independent third-party contractors, not employees or agents of RouteClub. They are responsible for:
- Holding valid public liability insurance (minimum £1m) covering their work.
- The quality and workmanship of the services they perform.
- Using suitable equipment, chemicals and methods.
- Complying with applicable laws, including waste, water and health & safety rules.
While we vet operators before they join the platform, RouteClub is not liable for their acts or omissions on site, except as required by UK consumer law.
6. Property access
You must ensure the operator can safely access the area being treated, including outside taps, gates and any relevant power supply. If the operator cannot access the site at the agreed time, a missed-visit fee may apply.
7. Pre-existing damage
Exterior surfaces often have hidden wear — loose pointing, cracked slabs, lifting block paving, weakened sealant, rot in timber or damaged render. RouteClub and its operators are not responsible for pre-existing damage that becomes visible or worsens during a clean. The operator will use reasonable care, but you accept that cleaning may expose underlying defects.
8. Pressure washing risks
Pressure washing is inherently powerful. Even on a low setting it can lift sand from block paving joints, mark soft stone, strip old paint or sealant, damage delicate plants or affect rotten timber. By booking a pressure wash service you accept these risks and confirm the surfaces being treated are suitable. Re-sanding of block paving may be required afterwards and can be added as an extra service.
9. Weather delays
Exterior work depends on the weather. We may reschedule your booking if conditions are unsafe (heavy rain, storms, freezing temperatures, high winds). We will offer the next available slot at no extra cost. RouteClub is not liable for losses caused by weather-related delays.
10. Payment
- Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
- Payment is taken via our payment provider when your booking is confirmed.
- Add-ons (e.g. resanding, sealing, bin clean) are charged in addition to the base service.
- If the job is materially larger than declared, the operator may quote an additional fee on site.
11. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund rules are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
12. Photos and marketing
Operators may take before/after photos of the exterior areas they treat for quality assurance and marketing. These photos will not show identifiable people, vehicle registrations or door numbers unless you have given explicit consent. You can opt out by emailing hello@routeclub.co.uk before your visit.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RouteClub's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the booking giving rise to the claim. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
14. Disputes
If something goes wrong, please contact us within 7 days of the visit at hello@routeclub.co.uk with photos and a short description. We will mediate between you and the operator and aim to resolve most issues within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it, you retain your statutory rights.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
